Crazy Hair Day for Catholic Mission

"How can we keep from speaking?"

Last Friday, students and staff listened to a reading from the Acts of the Apostles (4: 13-21), Peter and John speak fearlessly about the saving activity of the risen Jesus. They had healed a blind man at the Temple gate in Jesus’ name. Now, when asked by the religious authorities to stop speaking in Jesus’ name, Peter says,

“We cannot help speaking about the things we have seen and heard.”

Students and staff are invited to tease, colour, style and create their own version of crazy hair to wear with summer uniform this Friday 15th October, 2021.

Important information regarding Corona Virus Safe Practices

According to the NSW roadmap for the whole state re-opening, only the fully vaccinated will be permitted to enter churches over the estimated period of two or possibly three weeks (most likely from the 11th - 25th October inclusive). Parishioners are asked to check-in using the QR Code at the entrance to the church, socially-distance (areas of the church are cordoned off), and wear a face mask at all times. Thank you.

Sacrament of Reconciliation

The decision has been made to postpone the Sacrament of Reconciliation this year.  This sacrament is available to any baptised student from Year 2 upwards.

More information will be shared with families later this term.  If you would like to know more about any of the Sacraments offered through our Parish-based Programs, please contact me at St Joseph's.

Universal Prayer for Mission Month

Dear Lord

It is our responsibility as God’s people to pray for the needs of the Church and the world. We pray for change: in ourselves and in the circumstances of those in need, particularly in Thailand.

We ask this in your name, Jesus.

Amen.

God bless,

Mrs Wendy Rheinberger
