A Message from the Principal

Mrs Pauline Long

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Friday there was an air of excitement in our school as we welcomed our new Kinders for 2022. All the students settled quickly and had a wonderful day with their teacher Miss Pilgrim and Mrs Rheinberger. These transition days will continue each Friday this term and give the students a wonderful opportunity to become familiar with the routines and expectations of ‘big’ school.

Welcome to Kinder Readiness!
Let's get moving!
!I'm a Gummy Bear!"
I can write my name.
Our dinosaurs are friends.
Miss Pilgrim helps me learn.
New friends!
We can write numbers.

Yesterday our school (along with all the schools in the Liverpool Plains) received a cheque from the Quirindi RSL for $200 in recognition of the difficult year COVID has presented. We will put this money towards new reading books for the students. What a lovely gesture from our community and a great way to start the week!

Today we welcome our new counsellor, Emma Stilinovic, to our school community. Following is a photo and some information about Emma.

“Hello! My name is Emma Stilinovic. I am a provisional psychologist and I am excited to become a part of your wonderful school community. I am currently completing my Masters in Psychology through the University of New England. When I was growing up, I lived on the Central Coast. I have lived in New England for five years. In my spare time, I love playing games, spending time with my friends, going to ballet and martial arts classes, knitting and reading books. I am very excited to meet you all so please come and say hello”

During the next two weeks, an annual satisfaction survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese. The surveys are designed to gather feedback about our school and will be used to inform school improvement plans. Responses are confidential. If you do not receive an email with a link to the survey, you can access and complete the survey at the following link: https:/www.research.net/r/StJosephsQuirindiPARENT2021

The PT & F meeting will be held this Wednesday 13th October at 6.00 pm via zoom. Looking forward to seeing you on the screen!

Have a happy week

Stay safe and well
