Dear Families,

Welcome back to to the 2023 school year. 

We have had a fantastic start and students are very settled in their classrooms. The students have been engaged in our "Start Up" program which sets the expectations for the year and builds relationships and connections in the classroom.

I would like to welcome our 2023 Prep/Foundation students and families who have started at SHNPS. We hope you have enjoyed the start of your schooling journey with us. 

We have been very fortunate to keep our dedicated staffing team very stable this year and we have welcomed some new staff into the school. 

I would like to welcome Yvonne (office), Pam (office), Carla (Learning Tutor role) and Pat to the school. 

Deri who works as a Speech Pathologist in the school has also returned after taking leave last year. It is great to have her back. 

Today we hosted our tabloid sports incursion to conclude our 'Start Up' program. 

Thank you to the families who visited the school and had morning tea with the students.

It was lovely to be able to show case the students work. The students did an amazing job and participated so well in the activities, even in the heat. The icy poles were a well deserved treat at the end of the incursion. 

Road Safety

As all schools in the Swan Hill area return to school its timely to remember that we all have a responsibility to be safe around the school when doing drop off and pick up.

Please encourage students to use the crossing at all times. Just this week we have had a few near misses on Murlong Street with the volume of traffic. 

Kinder Building 

It was so exciting to come back to school and see the new Kinder building. The kinder is due to start in Term Two. This is very exciting for the Swan Hill North Community. 

School Council 

School Council Elections are coming up next week, further information will be sent out to families.
