Staff News  - CEO Update

Covid-19 Vaccination

Well done, we have a 100% fully vaccinated staff.

We paid a one off $100 payment to all staff to recognise this wonderful achievement with your wages last fortnight.

We will be utilising grant monies provided by the Commonwealth and topping this up from our own funds so that all staff are rewarded.

Staff Covid-19 Exposure

If one COVID-19 positive staff member has exposed Wharparilla Lodge during their infectious period then this is classed as a COVID-19 exposure. The recommended actions to take in this instance are:

  1. Recommend residents isolate to their rooms and be cared for in Tier 3 PPE (N95 mask, eye protection, long sleeve gown and gloves).
  2. Organise a site wide round of COVID-19 testing.
  3. Organise a deep clean of the lodge.
  4. Determine who would be considered a close contact of the staff member as guided by the Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit.
  5. Following a site wide round of negative COVID-19 testing, the Loddon Mallee Public Health Unit will confirm that the facility can cease PPE and quarantine for all staff and residents.
  6. If there is additional positive cases from the testing then an outbreak will likely be declared.
