Reunions

The class of 1993

20 and 25 Year Reunion 2018

It was great to see our lovely Kilvonians from the classes of 1993 and 1998 in August this year. We even had the pleasure of a couple of gorgeous babies, maybe they will be future Kilvington students one day?

Feedback is always greatly appreciated and here are some kind words from Jeanette Mahoney, class of 1993.

Just a note to thank you most sincerely for everything you did to organise such a terrific reunion for the Class of 93 & 98.  I thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing with my peers and exploring the new learning spaces across the School. I must say, it felt quite surreal being able to sip on champagne as I walked the halls!

A group of us have already arranged to catch up for dinner in November, which should be fun.

It was an absolute pleasure to host everyone who attended and many thanks also go to Kerrie Kelly for the fabulous catering, and current students Mitchell Cole and Elisabeth Yeo for their assistance with our School tour.

Walsh Club November 2018

It was fantastic to host 20 Kilvonians at the Walsh Club lunch on November 9.

We welcomed a lovely group of six from the 1967 peer group and heard lots of funny stories and wonderful memories.

Some lovely words below from Jeanette Hardy, class of 1967.

Thank you for a truly enjoyable day yesterday at the Kilvington reunion. It was fabulous for such a great group from my 1967 year to get together for a very good chat.

It was wonderful to see the School looking so impressive and to chat with a couple of the impressive students. Lunch was excellent too.

I really enjoyed it and will hope to entice a few others along to the next one.

Here are some photos that were shared on the day. Many thanks to Ros Alley for forwarding them to us.

Kilvonian Konnections 2018

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Kilvonian Konnections event this year. It was great to see both past students and staff reconnecting and catching up with each other. The evening was very successful and I’d venture to say our best one yet!

Our current students did us proud, entertaining everyone with their wonderful singing and outstanding violin solos.

Save the Date

If you were unable to make it this year, make sure you save the date for Kilvonian Konnections 2019, Wednesday 13 November 2019, 6.30pm – 8.30pm. Please encourage your peers to come along too.

Feedback from our Alumni

We love hearing from you and the following are some of the comments we have received during 2018.

What was the best thing about the night?

Reliving so many Kilvington memories with such a wonderful group of ladies, some of the memories seemed not that long ago.  We were so busy catching up, laughing and trying to squish 35 years of life journeys into two hours, we didn't even have time to go on the school tour.

A fantastic evening......thank you.

Yvette Barton, 35 Year Reunion 2018 (Class of 1983)

Hi Deb.  I thought it was commendable of you, the Principal, staff and Kilvington boys to go to so much trouble and spend so much time with us, knowing beforehand that we were a very small group.  I was very impressed that when we arrived two of the year 12 boys were outside to welcome us.  A lovely touch!

It's hard to pinpoint the best thing about the night.  I enjoyed the Principal's talk on how the School has evolved over the past few years.  I was very impressed on how much focus is paid to the students' wellbeing.  Even 50 years ago when I attended, I always felt the warmth and care within the School.  I enjoyed the tour and learning about all the different subjects and opportunities that are available at Kilvington.

What did you think about the event?

Relaxed and fun and a great laugh.  Great class of '83...

Dalton Hall seems so much smaller or am I that much bigger?!?!

What was the best thing about the night?

The great girls ... and the easy chat. Where have the last five years gone?

Sue Kappa, 35 Year Reunion (Class of 1983)

What was the best thing about the night?

Standing in Dalton Hall reliving the School song and songs from Oklahoma. Loved seeing the old school uniforms too.

Jenny Woollard, 30 Year Reunion (Class of 1988)

It was great to catch up with old friends. We were greeted warmly by present student leaders and welcomed by Jon (the Principal) and Deb, who offered champagne and conversation.

Lots of laughs and reminiscing, talk of children, achievements, marital status, botox, cosmetic surgery and loads more.

Great to see our friends who traveled interstate to join us. We are planning another group catch up before the year is out.

Thanks for organising. Many of us would love to relive our youth knowing what we do now.

Cheers and thank you.

Karen Roberts, 35 Year Reunion (Class of 1983)

I think the thing that stands out to me about the reunion was that when we meet the intervening 35 years seemed to disappear and we were all teenagers again having fun together. It was a very enjoyable night - thank you for organising it!

Natalie Bennett (Nee Davidson) 35 Year Reunion 2018 (Class of 1983)

What did you think about the event?

It's fantastic to be able to return to see old friends and renew all the memories. The reunion was beautifully planned and it was great to have current students to show us round the buildings if we were curious to see the changes.

Kilvington holds a special place in my memories and will continue to do so.

What was the best thing about the night?

Catching up with mates, laughing about old memories and making new ones.

Cathy Macdonald 35 Year Reunion 2018 (Class of 1983)

The event most successful. The atmosphere was convivial and the members were pleased to have the opportunity to catch up with each other.

The lunch menu offered a wide choice of delicious food.

I am sure we are all looking forward to the next gathering.

Jean Harley, Walsh Club (Class of 1948)

Congratulations on such a great night, there was such a wonderful vibe in the room, all night.

It was good to see so many of the attendees connecting and reconnecting with each other.

Natalie was an inspirational speaker, and wonderful that she has continued the learnings from Kilvington. Edgar won a few hearts too ...

Thank you so much for starting this wonderful event.

Julie Scott, Kilvonian Konnections (Class of 1982)
