From the Classroom - Room M5 (Amelia)

On Thursday the 21st of July, Year 1/2 students went to the Melbourne Museum 

to experience the Triceratops Exhibition. 

 

We left on the bus and we were very excited to go! Damien enjoyed seeing the Ferris wheel on the way. Joe enjoyed going over the Westgate Bridge. Poppy liked seeing all the big buildings. It took us an hour and a half to get to the Museum. 

 

When we arrived at the Museum, we got off the bus and had a snack. We went to the toilet and got into our groups. Harley enjoyed getting off the bus and stretching her legs. 

We walked into the Museum and first went to the Dinosaur Walk. We saw lots of dinosaur skeletons and read lots of facts. Isabelle liked seeing the Mamenchisaurus Dinosaur, which has a really long neck! Ainsley liked seeing and learning about the fossils. Emma enjoyed seeing the different dinosaurs. 

 

After the Dinosaur Walk, we went to see the main event – THE TRICERATOPS! It was spectacular! Ava and Jaxson liked seeing all the bones in the correct place. Maddi enjoyed seeing and learning about the Triceratops. 

 

Next, we headed to the exhibition called Dynamic Earth. We saw lots of different minerals and rocks. We also saw what the earth looked like and what it will look like in the future. Miley and Aaliah liked seeing the gems that were found all over the world. Charlie and Mason liked learning about the gold. 

 

We quickly went to Bugs Alive. We saw butterflies, bugs and GIANT spiders! Andre liked seeing all the tarantulas. Isabella liked seeing the ants that were crawling around. Harper and Scarlett liked seeing the butterflies. 

 

After finishing at the Museum, we had our lunch and got organised to go back to school. When got on the bus to go home, we were all very tired. Some of use even had a nap. Elly liked that it was quiet on the bus. 

 

We arrived back to school and saw our parents waiting to pick us up! 

 

We had the most AMAZING, FABULOUS, and FANTASTIC day ever! We want to go back! Thank you to our parents and careers who helped us be organised and ready for our trip!
