Principal’s Message

Assalaam'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh 

My dear brothers and sisters, 

By the grace of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, Taqwa School is progressing well in achieving many of its objectives. Indeed, the path to success is challenging at times but with your help and support Insha Allah, we shall continue to make great strides. 

As most of us are aware, there is a general shortage of teachers across all schools which is expected to continue for a while. We too are affected by these shortages but Alhamdulillah, we are managing reasonably well. We are currently in the process of recruiting additional teachers for next year. 

Alhamdulillah we are experiencing an increase in student enrolments to the extent that we now have waiting lists for all classes except for Year 5/6. Insha Allah students at the KG level shall all be accommodated provided the parents complete the registration formalities as a matter of urgency (better to give a date??). We shall also guarantee admission for siblings of our existing students provided they are registered as a matter of urgency. We at Taqwa school are committed to provide a vibrant Islamic environment with manageable class sizes.

As we approach the end of Term 3, please note the key dates for the remainder of 2022:

High School Building update

As you would have noticed, the construction of the High School building is in full swing, and the builders have committed to complete it by the end of March 2023. This will provide us ample time to use the building for Years 7 & 8 starting in January 2024 , Insha Allah. We have already begun planning for Years 9 & 10 from January 2025. 

These are multi-million projects. Although we do get some funding from the government towards the building, Taqwa School relies on your generous donations to complete some of its projects. Taqwa School is a not-for-profit school in every sense with all proceeds going back into investing in the future of our children. We desperately need your generous donations to drive these projects. Athletics Carnival

Alhamdulillah, we had a very successful athletics carnival on 6th September. I was very happy to see our students in action. On Wednesday, we shall be handing over awards to the winners of the activities in the carnival.

Swimming Lessons (23 – 29 October)

Swimming lessons for boys and girls will be organised and are coming up soon. As usual, boys and girls will have their lessons at separate times and all travel will be organised by the school. If some students do not wish to participate in these lessons, they are free to attend school and our teachers will duly supervise them. 

Sponsorship of Needy Students

We are looking for your generous contributions to support two overseas students, and three local students whose parents are unable to pay their fees. The fee for each overseas student is $12000, and for the locals, it is about $3000. You can sponsor whole or a part of the fees. May Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala reward you abundantly for your generous and sincere contributions. Please contact me or the front office if you wish to sponsor these students.
