ManageBac

ManageBac is a Learning Management System used by Blackhall Kalimna teachers to plan and deliver curriculum.

This year, all students from Years 7 to 12 are able to access ManageBac and they each have their own personal profile, unique username and password. All subjects are linked to their profile and they are able to view information about the units of work they are studying, access resources related to each unit and assessment tasks. It is here that the students also upload assessment tasks and receive teacher feedback.

Currently, Years 11 to 12 parents are able to access ManageBac with their own unique username and password. Our plan is to also provide access to parents of students in Years 7 to 10. This will be a soft roll out and usernames and passwords will be communicated in the near future.

As a parent, you will be able to track your child’s learning and view items such as:

  • Your child’s profile
  • Your child’s calendar
  • The classes your child is enrolled in
  • All your child’s assessment tasks and teacher feedback
  • Any resources that have been uploaded onto the stream
  • Any teacher messages or notifications

3-way Conferences

3-way Conferences are an opportunity for you to share information about your child with subject teachers and for teachers to share their observations. As these take place so early in the year, the focus is on you and your child’s experience to date.

This term, the 3-way Conferences are scheduled to occur via ZOOM on:

  • Wednesday 10 March - 2pm - 8pm
  • Thursday 18 March - 2pm - 8pm

All families will receive a notification via Compass this week as soon as the 3-way Conferences booking system is opened. You will be able to book a 10 minute time slot with your child’s subject teacher and access each teacher’s Personal Zoom ID or link on the day. Please note that classes on these days will finish at 12.20pm.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you all at the Welcome Family Picnic.
