There were emotional scenes on Wednesday, as Naranga said farewell to the graduating class of 2020. Celebrations began with a graduation assembly, our first in-person gathering of the school since Semester 1. The Year 12 students gave stirring speeches, filled with reflection and inspiration. They expressed thanks to the staff, and pearls of wisdom to the younger students.

Festivities continued at the Graduation Breakfast, where the Year 11 students and Pathways staff laid on a delicious meal for the graduating group. The Year 12s were even treated to a wonderful piano recital by fellow Pathways student Lorenzo T. The graduates had a great time, talking about old times and discussing their plans for the years to come.

The students spent much of the rest of the day collecting signatures and congratulatory messages from students and staff alike. The day ended with a mixture of sadness and excitement, as students said their final farewells to the friends they have made over the years. Many of the students have formed relationships at Naranga, that will last for years to come.

The staff at Naranga would agree, that the graduating class of 2020 have been a pleasure to work with, and a shining example to the younger students following in their footsteps.
