VCE Music Night

VCE Music Night, held on Wednesday 23rd October in the Holloway Theatre, was a great success. Students studying the Unit 1 & 2 Music Performance course treated parents, friends, teachers and students to an evening of musical entertainment. The program consisted of a range of musical styles. Students have been encouraged  to experiment with their own perception of genre and style, with teacher Tim Clifton supporting them to try new arrangements.  Audience members were pleased to see students refining their skills and many were amazed at the students who could quickly switch between various instruments in their different sets. Year 12 students, Raz Cohen and Emily Horan, helped with the technical operation of the event and were thanked for their efforts. Congratulations to all the students involved.

Sandringham College is excited to announce a Performing Arts tour to New York City in April 2021. This is an exciting opportunity to attend a 10 day tour of New York City. The tour will depart Melbourne on Monday 12th April 2021, and return on Thursday 22 April 2021. This is subject to sufficient student numbers and department approval.

An information session will run on Wednesday 30th October at 5pm in the senior campus theatre. Students and parents will have the opportunity to hear more about the proposed itinerary and also ask any questions they may have.

Students who wish to apply for a position on the tour will be required to pay an $200 deposit by Thursday 15th November 2019.  Students will also need to complete an application form (available from Laura Washington or Kristina Hardner)

This deposit will be refunded should the tour not go ahead or students do not receive a position on the tour.
