Term 3 Recap

Inquiry Projects

During Term three the Foundation students created dioramas of 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'! They worked so hard to create these dioramas and used lots of different materials and techniques to do so! Once they were completed we had a wonderful afternoon where the Foundations presented their work to their peers as well as their families. They all did an excellent job!

Cookie Fun!

Who says math's has to be boring? Last Term in maths when were learning about fractions, we decided to make some cookies! It was so fun learning about how fractions can be used in recipes!

Our stories

Last Term, we were learning about narrative writing and created our own narrative pieces! The foundations did an excellent job of planning and writing their stories as well as illustrating the pictures. They are absolute superstars!

Term 4

Writing with adjectives

This Term we have been learning to use adjectives in our writing. We took one of our writing lessons outside this week! It was so great being able to use our incredible bushland to help us with our writing. Th Foundation students used the bug windows to find something they would like to use as their writing. They drew what they could see through the window on their worksheet and then used adjectives to describe it! They did an amazing job!

Popcorn fun!

This week in writing we made popcorn! Whilst we were eating our popcorn we were thinking about 5 senses. We used our senses to describe the popcorn. What could you taste? What could you hear when the popcorn was cooking? What could you smell? What could you feel? What could you see?

After this we made our own little popcorn and write our adjectives onto it! We came up with heaps of adjectives such as crunchy, yummy, salty, buttery, yellow, soft and pop.
