Throughout the year we offer the following resources and services...

 

Digital Copying of Portions of Textbooks and Novels

To request a portion of the textbook/novel you studying go to the library website-> resources-> textbook e-services.  Fill out the form and we will email the portion requested

 

Newspaper articles, databases and journals

Library staff have print and digital access to The Age, The Herald Sun and various databases and journals.  We also have access to print versions of The Saturday Paper, Quarterly Essay and Australian Foreign Affairs.

 

Encyclopedia Britannica

The library subscribes to this authoritative resource.  Students have access to this 24/7 via the school library website.  Using the encyclopedia is a great starting point in any assignment.

 

Research Assistance

Library staff will provide accessible physical and online sources that are conducive to research and study for students.  Head to the library website and click on 'contact'.

 

Topic Guides

Topic guides are created to assist students with their assessments, they are regularly updated.  Topic guides are a great starting point for students ALTs.  Topic guides are created in consultation with domains.  Due to the content in the topic guide many are password protected. (contact the library for the password)

 

Delivery Service of fiction and Non-fiction Books 

Sandringham College Library has an amazing up-to-date YA fiction collection, and a  curriculum-based non-fiction collection, during lockdown library staff are offering to mail out books to students on request. To access this service click 'Delivery service' on the library website home page.  Students can search the library catalogue to find a book.

 

eBook and Audiobook platform

This resource can be accessed via the library website home page and is available to students 365 days of the year.  Students will need to use their school Gmail and password.

 

ClickView

ClickView is a video learning application that allows students to access Curriculum Related Video Material to assist with teaching and learning.  Students can access this resource via the library website and using their edupass login 

e.g. cgtpm@schools.vic.edu.au and password.
