Welcome Back

Welcome back to Term 3! I hope you all had a great holiday!!! As shared with you before the start of Term, we now have sport on Fridays, so please have the children come to school in sports uniform on Fridays.

Assembly

On Monday we are running assembly from 2:15pm! Can't wait to see you all there!

NAIDOC Week

The Foundations have loved learning about NAIDOC Week this week! We have been so busy painting our bollard and researching Aunty Joy Murphy who is a Wurundjeri Elder. We are looking forward to completing it and displaying it in the school.

We have also been learning some Wurundjeri words in the Woiwurrung language! It has been so interesting to learn the new words, and we have been practising singing Heads, shoulders, knees and toes in this language! We are hoping to show you at Monday's assembly.

We have also been looking at the Indigenous Dreamtime story of 'How the birds got their colours'. We have created our birds as stick puppets and will be retelling the story at Monday's assembly.

Guided Play

The students love having such a big space upstairs with one whole area designated for guided play! This term, we have the puppet plays set up, as well as the grocery store! The kids loved playing with the Indigenous stamps using playdough, as well as Mrs B's Barbies that she brought from home!

Maths

This week for maths, we have been looking at collections of numbers and our tens friends. Yesterday we used our subitising brains to play bowling and then count how many pins we knocked down! The kids loved playing this game!

100 days of school

100 days of school is coming up on the 28th July! Don't forget to come to school dressed as a 100 year old!!!
