Indigenous-inspired huff and Puff games

We have been huffing and puffing from games inspired and slightly modified for the equipment we have at school.  Obviously, in tradition times many of the games were player with sticks, rocks, twine and items from the environment.

Games include;

Apwerte from the language of the Eastern Arrerente in central Australia

Diyari Koolchee & Koolchee from near Lake Eyre in South Australia

Wana from the Noongar language of Western Australia

Kalq from the language of the Yir-Yoront people from north Queensland

Kokan from the Torres Strait and Papua and New Guinea played on Mabuiag Island,

Edor for the Aurunkun language of Far North Queensland
