Principal's Report

Dear parents, carers and students,
We are nearly at the end of our second week back from the break and it has been a great start. From all accounts our new students are enjoying their new school environment and those who have transitioned to new sections with in the school have made that adjustment well. As an example, the upper juniors have many new students to the school and it is great to see the new friendships and sense of community coming from that section. PLC2 had their first community access session going to the local running track. For me, a favourite time of day is when the new preps are heading home and they walk past my office. Whilst they are often tired they are still full on excitement and asking lots of questions. Our pathways students have started their Certificate 1 in work skills. This year it is happening onsite and is being combined with work experience.
Right now, the school is looking for up to 5 parents to join our School Council. It is a real opportunity to learn in more detail how our schoolwork's. The group consist of parents, community members and staff. The term of office is two years, and we meet 8 times throughout the year. If you are interested in nominating or finding out more, please call the office.
