Year 9-10: Rail Academy 

Interested in a career in rail? Hallam Secondary College is running a Certificate II in Heavy and Light Rail Fundamentals. 

The purpose of this VET course is to provide students with basic knowledge and a realistic preview of the heavy(train) and light (tram) rail industry in Victoria. Students will be taught in a combination of structured learning, self-directed learning, and hands-on training in a simulated work environment. This will enable students to make more informed choices about future employment within an area of the industry that best suits their interests, capabilities, and career aspirations.

This can be counted towards VCE and VCAL. 

If you’re interested in the course, please speak with the Pathways team. The expression of interest must be submitted by the student’s home school (not the student or parent).
