Year 10 Food Technology

Year 10 Food Technology are learning about Food in Australia and how damper was made. Damper is one of Australia’s most iconic symbols of bush life. The students made comparisons between the traditional damper and modern Australian damper.

They also taste-tested some Indigenous spreads, including Desert Quandong, Rainforest Plum and Rosella jam. They also sampled the damper with some contemporary spreads commonly available today, including Biscoff, Vegemite and strawberry jam.

It was an interesting lesson that the students thoroughly enjoyed!
