Successful initiatives for Year 10 students

Timber in Connect

There have been some fantastic events and programs going on this term that have involved year 10 students. One such program is the Timber in Connect program (pictured above). This has been very successful, with Mr Tait working with the students on developing their woodworking skills. This program will continue next term.

Big History

A select number of Year 10 students have commenced the Big History course through Macquarie University as part of our High Performance and Gifted Education program here at Cecil Hills High School.  Students are working independently to complete six learning modules related to History, Science and critical thinking. These students can be offered bonus ATAR points if studying at Macquarie University.

This is also an ideal program for students looking at early entry into any university.
