Teamwork success

for STEM students

During the second term of 2021, Cecil Hills High School STEM class has undergone a term-long investigation into making a tangible impact on their school. By incorporating their diverse skill set - involving mathematics, engineering, collaboration, and innovation - students needed to undertake an independent investigation into how they could improve a chosen subject.

Brainstorming, surveying, prototyping, 3D printing and measuring were just a few of the things that students needed to do to create a physical teaching aid for a chosen topic. This ranged from making geological processes to cartesian planes and various 3D shapes.

The term culminated in a presentation day where the students' public speaking skills were put to the test whilst they competed with each other to earn votes from various year groups.

A fantastic day was had by all, and all the STEM students had a blast honing their skills in independence and teamwork!
