National Young

Leaders Day

On Monday, May 24, a group of our College Leaders attended the National Young Leaders Day at South Wharf. We were able to take away some great news tips on leadership.

The day started with AFL Player Jordan Lewis who taught us that sometimes we need to make sacrifices to achieve or reach our goal. Josh Pyke, an Australian singer song writer, taught us to own up to our mistakes, don't ever walk past a problem, that failure is not when you get it wrong, it's when you stop -– you can always recover

Our next speaker was the famous Jimmy Giggle/Rees, who shared some informative and funny stories on how he got where he is today. One main thing I took away from what he said was to be honest with yourself and to be true to yourself

Finally, our last speaker Michelle Young, who is a fire fighter, taught me that our difference is our power, mentors come from everywhere, and to also take opportunities as they come. It was an amazing day where I learnt so many new things, whilst also having a fun day.
