A Message from the Principal

LOCKDOWN to continue to Friday 10th September

Parents I am sure you have heard that the Lockdown is to continue to Friday 10th September.

Our routine for the past three weeks will continue for the next two weeks.

Home Leaning Packages for next week will be available after 9am Monday out the front of the school. Teachers in Year 1-6 will post work on Google Classroom Monday morning.

Teachers will Zoom their class on Monday to ensure the children are ready for the week.

The Zoom timetable for Monday is below & teachers will send out the invitation to the Zoom.

MondayTime
Kindergarten Zoom10-10:30
Year 1 /2 Zoom 10:30-11
Year 3/4  Zoom11:30-12
Year 5/6 Zoom12 -12:30

We are very mindful that days can be very challenging  and families have experienced -

the internet does not always cope & families do not have enough data.

Zoom do not always work -there have been some outages across the Australian Zoom network from overload.  If you are unsure if it is an outage or something you are doing give us a call. If you couldn't get on, email your teacher and let them know you tried.

There is too much work, we need more work, we do not know what to do!

Please use the following daily schedule as a guide only. It is fine to create your own schedule to suit your families commitments and needs.

Per day students should aim for approximately: K-2:  2.5 hours,  Years 3-6:  3 hours of school work.

However, not every day goes to plan and that is ok.

If you get through the work that is great, if you don't just let your teacher know that what you have & haven't done. Submit what you have done if you are in Google Classroom.

Families it is important that you try to fit some reading in each day - reading to your child and hearing them read to you every day is very important, as this helps develop vocabulary, fluency and comprehension.   Keep up the great work everyone.

Stay at home orders apply to all of NSW until midnight Friday 10th September.

All schools will operate under level 4 restrictions. This means that students will be learning from home in all NSW schools.

Schools will be open for students of essential workers and students who are unable to have their learning supervised at home. Supervision will be provided & no child will be turned away from school.

To ensure adequate supervision at school each day parents please email me if your child will be at school any day / days next week.  bburton@arm.catholic.edu.au

Thank you

LOCKDOWN  - Home Learning

We have almost finished our 3rd week of Home Learning. A big congratulations & thank you to everyone for their support and the great work you are doing at home.

Our teachers, education assistants and administration staff are doing an amazing job providing opportunities for home learning for the children and I thank them for their hard work.

Keep sending in the photos of the children learning from home.  It is a great way for us all to stay connected during this difficult time.

Please contact the school if you have any questions or need any support in any way. My email is bburton@arm.catholic.edu.au  or phone school 67772328 school mobile 0428772328

P & F  FATHER'S DAY STALL

With lockdown it is very difficult to get gifts for our fathers for Father's Day - but we have the solution - purchase your gifts from the FATHER'S DAY CATALOGUE (on the next page).

It would be wonderful if you could support the P & F fundraiser by purchasing a gift for the important men in your families. If you make a purchase we ca have the bag ready for collection at the front office.
