LEARNING FROM HOME

It is great to see so many students engaging in work on Canvas as we learn from home. During this time, it is even more important that parents have access to our Sentral Parent Portal and Canvas to stay up to date with student learning. 

The process for accessing these resources if you haven’t already done so is as follows: - 

• Request Sentral Parent Portal access by contacting school 
• Register for Sentral Parent Portal at https://kkhs.sentral.com.au/portal/register 
• Add student registration key supplied by school 
• Sign into Parent Portal at https://kkhs.sentral.com.au/portal2/#!/login 
• Wait 24 hours for data to be synced to Canvas 
• Access Parent Canvas at https://kkhs.instructure.com/login/canvas 
• Use same email as Parent Portal to access Canvas. Be sure to change password on first logon. 
• Access Canvas dashboard to see courses linked to your students. 
• See our website for more details and tutorials to set up both computer and app versions of Parent Portaland Canvas.

As this is my last newsletter, I would just like to take the time to thank all the staff, students and parents for their help over my 5 years at KKHS. In late term 1, I was successful in gaining the HT Administration position at Kotara HS and this position starts in term 4. I'm glad I could stay and complete teaching my senior courses and wish these students all the best in their examinations. A big thank you to Tracey Breese, Alan Hope, the entire Executive and all the staff for their support over the last 5 years. Special mention to Brian Grono for his tireless work in ICT.  We have made many advancements in the provision of quality technology for our staff and students in my time at KKHS and I’m sure this will continue in the future. Thanks again KKHS. I wish the students and staff all the best for the future.
