Rural Aid Grant

Last term I applied for a grant through  Gift of Music -A Rural Aid Initiative www.giftofmusic.org.au  

The application was to assist the school in increasing our current music program for 2020. The grant was for musical instruments so we could introduce a Woodwind Band.  

I wrote about how research is increasingly verifying that music plays an important role in enhancing holistic health and wellbeing.  Wellbeing being a focus in our current drought conditions.

Further to your request for instruments for St. Patrick’s from our Gift of Music program, I’m very happy to let you know that we will be able to deliver them to your school on Monday 4th of November at approximately 11:00am.

The  media has been contacted to come and share this GOOD NEWS story on Monday and raise awareness of the Gift of Music Rural Aid program and how it can benefit rural children. The media coverage also helps Rural Aid to continue to do what they do!

GASTRO & vomiting

There has been a number of students who have fallen sick with gastro and vomiting. The only way we can control the spread of these bugs is by trying to make sure that students who are unwell, do not attend school.  Please note the recommended 48 hour exclusion for students from school and child care centres following a bout of viral gastroenteritis.

Cheese & Wine Evening- Cancelled for 2019

Due to clash of events for many families we have cancelled the Wine & Cheese Evening  for 2019.

P & F and SAC AGM - November

Thank you to our parents who kindly give their time to attend meetings to assist with our school events.

In November we will be holding the AGM for both the P & F  and the SAC.

Please consider nominating for one of these committees. 

Uniform

Thank you families for responding to last weeks request that children must be in the correct uniform each day. I appreciate your support in  ensuring that the children wear the  correct uniform with pride.

Mass

 All parents and friends are invited to join the children at Mass tomorrow Friday at 11:30am  - All Saints Day.
