eBooks and Audiobooks

Need some holiday reading, but found you have run out of books?  No Problem - the library subscribes to an online eBook and Audiobook platform giving students the opportunity to access stories 24/7.

Access to this platform is via the Sandringham College Library Website (while you're on the site discover what other services and resources are available) .

Click on Read & Listen -> eBooks and Audiobooks

Students need to use their college Gmail and password                                                        eg. ABC1234@sandringhamsc.vic.edu.au

Book Reviews

As part of the reading program students in Years, 7 & 8 are being asked to write book reviews and place them on the library catalogue.  Canteen vouchers are awarded to three student reviews each week.  Book reviews by their peers are a great way for students to find the next book to read.

Makerspace Gallery

Students have been enjoying creating amazing pieces of work, by using air-drying clay during lunchtime in the Makerspace area.

Comic and Manga Club

Comic and Manga Club
Comic and Manga Club

Anime fans in years 10-12 have been enjoying the newly formed Comic and Manga Club. Club members discuss the latest anime and characters, draw anime characters, and watch the latest episodes of their favorite anime as well as eat poccos.

A comic and Manga club will begin in Term 2 for the 7 - 9 students.  It is hoped that both groups will get together once a term for special viewings.

'Connected History' now on display in the Holloway Rd Library

Jeremy de Korte, Teacher-Librarian and Instrumental Music Teacher of Upper Strings

I’ve started working on some local history projects connected to the school which are designed to show some ‘connected history’.  The first of these projects is now on display in the Holloway Library and it is a brief history of the school site spanning the time it was Indigenous lands to when Sandringham Tech was opened in 1949 – inclusive of when the land was owned by Josiah Morris Holloway and when the land was the Bonview Estate.  If you would like to view this display it is in one of the noticeboards in the Holloway Library foyer. The display includes maps, newspaper articles and a brief history.

The next display, once I finish it will be on the Sandringham Band Rotunda which is a strong part of the school crest.
