2024 Reflections from Otis and Andy - School Council Student Reps.

2024 was a year of expanded student voice with many new leaders stepping up into roles across the student leadership team.

Changes that we have supported and experienced throughout 2024 in our time on School Council have included: new sliding doors, added shade sails, improved socialising areas and construction of new classrooms for 2025. It has been a wonderful experience to be part of the school council. 

We want to congratulate Cohort 2024 for their assessments and wish them well for their future. We appreciate the confidence that you had to lead the establishment of our school community and building a positive environment for all of us.

Andy's Highlights: elected representative for 2024-2026

My highlights are the varied student leadership roles this year have given students the opportunity to work on projects such as Book Week, Subject Expos, Diversity Cultural Cookbook project, Sports and so much more. 

Otis' Highlights: elected representative for 2023-2025

My highlight is the survey of the student community that Andy and I have established to gain insight into the student experience at Preston High School. We have been able to use this to present stronger student voice to the School Council.
