Summer Sport
Summer sport training will commence over the next week, with teams now finalised and team lists displayed on the noticeboard.
BASKETBALL
Students should have emailed me their singlet number to ensure uniforms can be organised. This includes Year 7 students who have a reversible BMGS basketball uniform from their time playing Junior School sport.
All uniform details and team arrangements must be finalised by the end of Week 9, as all basketball games commence in Term 4, Week 1.
** Term 4 Rounds 1-7 commence Saturday 17th October (end of Week 1) **
Please note that any teams scheduled to train on a Monday will train as usual in Term 4, Week 1, despite this being a Staff Development Day. All students are expected to attend their scheduled training session.
TOUCH FOOTBALL
All players who are in a BMGS Firsts Touch Football team need to email mharris@bmgs.nsw.edu.au with your singlet number so that new players can be allocated numbers.

Invitations have been sent via Schoolbox. Please ensure that you RSVP for catering purposes.
Athletics
ISA Athletics Carnival – Term 3 (15th September)
The ISA Athletics Carnival is coming up soon. If you have been selected for the BMGS Athletics Team, you will have received a permission request to attend the carnival. Make sure you check the list on the sports noticeboard for your events.
If you need to hire a singlet please do so from the Uniform Shop. Those students who have a navy/gold reversible basketball singlet are permitted to wear this on the gold side.
If you are unavailable for any events please see me in my office ASAP.
Please recheck the noticeboard as some students have picked up extra events due to withdrawals.
Triathlon
Find two friends and enter a team for the NSW All Schools Triathlon. If you have any questions, please come and see me in my office. Distances and relevant information are below.
The 2026 NSW All Schools Triathlon Championships – Teams Event is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 5 November 2026 at the Sydney International Regatta Centre.
Entries close Wednesday, 21 October 2026
Event Details
The championships are open to secondary school students across different age categories.
Distances for each age group are listed below:
Venue: Sydney International Regatta Centre, Castlereagh.
Time: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM (approx. subject to change).
Any students interested in entering a team should email their team list and the name of each person per event leg to Mrs Harris before the end of term.
