Theircare open day!

OSHC Update from the Service Coordinator, Libby Finn

School Holidays are such fun but it’s lovely to be back at Menzies Creek for Term 4. Term 4 is the best! I love the nice weather, Halloween and the countdown to Christmas! At OSHC we will be doing lots of fun activities this term, including craft, cooking and sports activities. TheirCare is running a ‘Try It’ session at lunchtime on Wednesday 21st October. It is open to any child who wants to come and experience OSHC. There will be games, dancing and icy poles!

I spent the school holidays at Upwey Primary School, going on excursions and running various activities. Theircare runs Holiday Program at several local schools, including Emerald and Upwey, running from 6:30am – 6:30pm. Some of our Menzies children attend. These holidays we went to Gumbuya World which was awesome. Holiday Program also runs over the summer holidays for families that need it.

It’s reasonably easy to make an account with TheirCare by logging onto the website. Even if you don’t need regular care, the service is always open for casual bookings. It’s very handy for those times when parents have an unexpected delay and can’t pick up their children from school on time. I’d love to see some new faces in OSHC. It is my privilege and joy to be able to play with, and look after, your precious children.
