Feast Of The Assupmtion - Mary Goes To Heaven

Mary did not become special because she was famous or powerful. She became special because she trusted God with her whole heart. Whenever God asked something of her, she found the courage to say, “Yes.”

That same invitation is given to us every day. We may not be asked to do something huge, but we are asked to be kind when someone feels left out. 

We are asked to tell the truth, to forgive, to include others, to care for creation and to stand up for what is right.

The Feast of the Assumption reminds us that God’s dream for every person is life, joy and hope. Mary has already reached that promise, and she encourages us to keep walking towards it by choosing love every day.

When we say yes to kindness, we are following Mary’s example. When we choose courage instead of fear, we are following Mary’s example. When we help someone who needs a friend, we are following Mary’s example.

This week, what is one way you can say “yes” to God’s love at home, at work or at school?

Prayers Of Th Faithful

Loving God, on this Feast of the Assumption of Mary, 

we bring before you our prayers with hopeful hearts.

We pray for the Church throughout the world.

 May we always follow Mary’s example by trusting God and 

sharing hope wherever we go. We pray.

Response: Mary, guide us to God’s love.

We pray for children everywhere. 

May they know they are loved by God 

and grow in kindness, courage and joy each day. We pray.

We pray for our families, teachers, school staff and friends. 

May our school be a place where everyone is welcomed, 

respected and cared for, just as Mary cared for others. We pray.

We pray for people who are sick, lonely or worried. 

May they find comfort, hope and 

caring people to walk beside them. We pray.

May we have hearts like Mary’s always ready

New Mass Times

On Thursday night, our Year 6 students attended a Confirmation Workshop Evening alongside a parent or guardian. This session provided a wonderful opportunity for families to deepen their understanding of the Sacrament of Confirmation and to engage in meaningful discussion together.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to the evening. We hope it was a valuable and enriching experience for all our Confirmation candidates and their families. A special thank you to Mrs Snell and Father Andrew for their continued guidance and support.
