Hello Roxburgh Homestead Community,
Staffing Update – Meg James
Congratulations to Meg James who has been appointed to an acting principal role at Flowerdale Primary School.
With this acting role currently in place until March next year, at this stage, this isn’t a goodbye but more of a “see you later” from all of us at Roxburgh Homestead Primary School. We wish Meg all the best and I’m sure she will thrive leading what looks like a gorgeous small tight knit rural community, north-east of Melbourne.
Staffing Update – Naomi Prawimo
We are also very excited to share the news that our lovely Foundation teacher Naomi will be leaving us in August to go on maternity leave. I’m sure you will all join us in wishing Naomi the very best of luck for this upcoming exciting chapter in her life. Over the next few weeks, we will be working through a recruitment process to appoint a replacement teacher for FB for the remainder of the year. Keep an eye on Compass for updates as I will write to families once a replacement teacher has been appointed. A part of this process will include an extensive handover and introduction to children to ensure the fantastic learning continues smoothly right through to the end of the year.
Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast
What a wonderful turnout we had for our second annual Mother’s Day pancake breakfast! Thank you to all families for coming and sharing in the fun on this special day.
ES Appreciation Day
Please join our staff and students on Wednesday May 20 to celebrate all the wonderful Education Support staff we have at RHPS. Whether it be the crew in the office, the aides in the classroom or Sonja in the library, we are fortunate to have such a hardworking and caring team of people who come in every day to make our school the wonderful place it is.
Our School Yard
You’ll probably spot me most mornings picking up bits and pieces of rubbish that the wind brings in from the street. Though our children are fantastic and rarely litter in the yard, we often see rubbish blown in from the street. Sadly, some mornings we spot a whole lot rubbish dumped at the front of the school in the night. Join me in helping teach our children community spirt by working together to keep our yard clean and to take pride in our school grounds.
That’s all from me for another fortnight. Have a lovely weekend with your family – hopefully the sun shines like it has today!
Kind Regards,
Brock Wilson
