Celebrating Learning and Growth: Term 3 at Woodville Gardens School

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We are excited to announce a busy and inspiring Term 3, filled with special events that support our students' learning and wellbeing.

Please see below for key dates, themes, and resources for further information:

Science Week (12–16 August 2026) — “Innovate and Imagine” Science Week is a fantastic opportunity for our students to dive into innovative hands-on activities, experiments, and projects. We encourage curiosity and imaginative thinking, helping students become enthusiastic learners who wonder about and investigate the world around them. Find out more about Science Week here: National Science Week

Book Week (19–23 August 2026) — “Reading Opens Doors” Book Week celebrates the love of reading and the impact stories have on our lives. We invite families to support reading at home—sharing a favourite story, visiting the library, or simply setting aside time to read together. The theme reminds us of the lifelong benefits of fostering strong reading habits. Learn more about Book Week here: Children's Book Council of Australia

Bullying No Way Week (26–30 August 2026) — “Together We Stand” Bullying No Way Week is focused on promoting respect, kindness, and inclusion in all areas of school life. The theme highlights the importance of every child feeling safe and supported, and the collective role we all play in building a positive and welcoming community. Further information is available at: Bullying. No Way!

More information will be forwarded by the school in the coming weeks about our specific involvement in these important weeks, including activities and ways you can participate.

We warmly encourage you to get involved in these weeks by discussing topics with your children, supporting their reading, and reinforcing positive behaviours at home. Your partnership is vital to our students’ success and wellbeing.

For further information about these events, please contact the school or visit our website.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,

Kristian Mundy
