Kids Helpline’s Largest Anti-Bullying Lesson

On Monday 17 August, our students will be joining Kids Helpline’s Largest Anti-Bullying Lesson as part of a nationwide movement to help create safe, respectful and inclusive school communities.

The lesson will provide students with an opportunity to learn about bullying, respectful relationships, kindness and how we can support ourselves and others.

This important learning also links directly to the Victorian Curriculum, supporting students to develop skills in respectful relationships, emotional awareness, communication, inclusion, empathy and positive social interactions.

We are excited to be part of this important initiative and to help empower our students to speak up, stand together and put an end to bullying.

Foundation Emergency Responders Day

Our Foundation students recently enjoyed an exciting Emergency Responders Day as part of their Inquiry learning.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the important work of our emergency services, meeting members of the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Victoria Police and Ambulance Victoria. They explored emergency service vehicles up close and learnt about fire safety, staying safe in the community and how emergency responders help keep us safe.

The experience was a wonderful hands-on learning opportunity, with our Foundation students thoroughly enjoying the chance to meet and learn from our local emergency responders. A big thank you to all the emergency service personnel who took the time to visit our school and make the day so memorable!

Monty the Monstar Colour Run

WOW! LPPS, what a first week. In 5 days our community has set up 100 profiles and raised $3,965!!! Thank you so much for supporting our school to raise funds for playground equipment. 

 We're very excited to announce the winning class for the most fundraising profiles created this week. A BIG congratulations to 324, creating 12 profiles, they will be enjoying an icy-pole party. 

If you haven't yet, please jump online and create your profile at https://myprofilepage.com.au. Every contribution helps us move closer to our goal. We can't wait to bring all the colour, foam cannons, inflatables and all the fun to the school on 11th September!

What you need to do:

• Complete the consent form on Compass to participate in the colour run on the day.
• Complete a fundraising profile.
• Share your profile with friends & family to raise $$ for playground upgrades.

Science Week 2026 – Grade 5/6 Science Fair

As part of our Science Week 2026 celebrations, we are excited to invite families to our Grade 5/6 Science Fair on Tuesday 18th August from 3:30pm–4:30pm.

Every Grade 5/6 student will have a science project on display, showcasing their curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking. The displays will be located in the STEM Room and the corridor outside, giving visitors the opportunity to explore a wide range of engaging investigations and experiments. They have been working hard on their projects at school.

We are also delighted to welcome representatives from GoodWe, who will be presenting prizes to selected students during the fair. Families of prize winners will be notified prior to the event to ensure they are present for the presentations.

We warmly invite parents, carers, siblings and other family members to attend and celebrate the hard work and achievements of our students. It promises to be a fantastic afternoon of discovery, innovation and learning.

Following the fair, the projects will remain on display on Wednesday morning, providing classes with the opportunity to visit and view the exhibits.

We look forward to seeing our school community come together to celebrate Science Week and the wonderful efforts of our young scientists!
