ANZAC Day
This week, classes have discussed the importance of ANZAC Day and why we take time each year to observe the day. On Wednesday our school captains attended the ANZAC Commemorative Ceremony at the Frankston War memorial in Beauty Park.
Holly and Storm represented our school and lay a wreath on behalf of our school community.
Being Safe Online
Naranga is a SWPBS school community where we actively promote Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Learners. This includes promoting safe and respectful behaviours online.
The internet offers young people amazing opportunities to connect and learn, but it can also expose them to content that is both age and developmentally unsuitable.
Content on the internet and social media sites is not sorted into age or appropriate areas and without supervision and guidance, a young person can either unintentionally or purposely find content that is inappropriate. We know that exposure to this type of content can be psychologically damaging to young people.
Just as you would ensure that the books you read to your child are age appropriate and the TV shows they watch are suitably rated, we ask that parents and carers also monitor what your child is doing, who they are interacting with online and where they are going in the digital space.
Please contact your child's homeroom teacher if you would like any assistance or have any concerns regarding safe online behaviours.
