Cetacean Sisters Workshop

Cetacean Sisters Workshop

Join Our Exciting Science Workshop Series: Inspiring Your Passion for Science

Cetacean Sisters is a hands-on science program for secondary school girls, focused on dolphin and whale research and conservation in Port Phillip and beyond. Through workshops, mentoring, and real-world data examples, it inspires young women to explore STEM careers. Workshops are run outside of school hours throughout the year, on the Mornington Peninsula over five, two-hour workshops.

Workshop Highlights:

• Hands-On Learning: Each workshop will offer interactive and practical experiences, providing a deep dive into the world of cetaceans found in our local waters.

• Expert Guidance: The sessions are led by a passionate local cetacean scientist and educator, along with her experienced marine scientist colleagues, all eager to mentor and share their expertise.

• Career Insights: While this workshop isn’t a direct substitute for traditional work experience, it offers valuable insights into the marine science career path, showcasing the opportunities and realities of working with marine wildlife.

The next workshop, held in Mount Martha, starts on Saturday 9 August 2025
