Middle School Update
Jasmine Collins
It’s been a busy and rewarding term for our Years 7–9 students!
Recently, all students completed their PAT (Progressive Achievement Tests), helping us better understand individual learning growth and tailor our teaching strategies.
Year 9 students headed to the Shrine of Remembrance and used real historical artefacts to investigate how an entire generation had their lives shaped forever by Australia’s participation in the First World War. They visited the memorial and the galleries, reflected on the choices and decisions made by different kinds of people between 1914 and 1918, and learned about the origins of the Shrine as a memorial to the losses and sacrifices Australia made during those years.
Our Year 7 students are looking forward to an exciting end to the term with a trip to Bounce alongside their Year 12 buddies – a great way to build connections across year levels.
Interschool sport has also been in full swing, with students representing our school with enthusiasm, teamwork, and pride. Well done to all involved!
Reminders
Students are reminded that they must have a planner with them during class and get it signed when they need to leave class. If students have lost their planner, they are to buy a replacement one from the General Office.
