NO INTERSCHOOL SPORT THIS WEEK - WINTER PROGRAM HAS CONCLUDED. SUMMER SEASON TO RECOMMENCE EARLY TERM 4

COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

Congratulations to Hugo D (3/4S), who achieved an outstanding result at the 2026 Victorian State GKR Karate Championships, held in Dandenong on 5th September.

After winning several hard fought bouts against more experienced opponents, Hugo took home the Gold Medal in Kumite (Combat), becoming the 2026 VIC GKR Karate U9 Champion!

The final was an incredibly close contest, with the scores tied as time ran out. This meant the match went to a Golden Point, where Hugo secured the victory with a sharp Chudan Tsuki (stomach-level punch) to claim the championship.

Hugo's success has also earned him the opportunity to compete at the GKR Karate Nationals in NSW on 28th November, where he will take on some of the best young karate competitors from across the country.

Hugo's family are extremely proud of his efforts, but all they ever ask of him is to give his best and, most importantly, enjoy himself.

Well done, Hugo! 💪🏼

Congratulations to Niah J (3/4C), Ruby L (2MH) and Eden L (3/4S) for their Reserve Aggregate achievement at their calisthenics competition on Saturday.

It was a very close competition, and all three girls performed exceptionally well. Their hard work and dedication has certainly paid off.

Well done, Niah, Ruby and Eden! 💪🏼

A shout out to Rafael FC (3/4W) for taking out the Best and Fairest, and Ruben S (3/4H) for Runner Up Best and Fairest for the season, in their u10s Wallabies team at Diamond Valley United.

Both kids put in their all throughout the season. And together with their team mates, had a very successful season. The boys were thrilled to share the top honours together.

Congratulations to Olivia E (3/4S), who recently completed her soccer season in fantastic style!

Olivia was awarded the Golden Glove for her outstanding efforts as goalkeeper throughout the season.

Congratulations to Asher P who recently competed in the Riddells Creek Pony Club Showjumping Championship.

Asher and her horse Candy placed 5th in the event!

It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.

Riverside Cricket Club is welcoming new and returning families for the 2026–27 cricket season.

Cricket Blasters — ages 4–8

Cricket Blasters is designed for younger children beginning their cricket journey.

Junior Cricket — Under 9s to Under 17s

We welcome new and returning junior players across all age groups, from Under 9s through to Under 17s. Whether your child is progressing from Cricket Blasters, has played cricket before or is trying the sport for the first time, we would love to welcome them to Riverside.
