Division Athletics
On Friday 22nd of August, 125 Highvale students across all year levels competed at the annual Waverley Division athletics event at the Bill Sewart Athletics Track.
Our students once again represented the college with distinction, and we had a number of great performances and several winning athletes. 16 students from Highvale won events on the day and will therefore go through to the Eastern Region athletics competition, to be held at the Knox athletics track on Monday 13th of October. Congratulations to all of these students.
Special mention must go to our four age group champions on the day, who beat athletes from the other schools to be crowned champions on the day! These students were Jazel O., Sayeshke W., Syrus O. and Jaslene O. A fantastic performance.
Thank you to our student helpers, and staff who did an amazing job running the discus and javelin events all day.
Division sport
Our final round robin division sports concluded last week, with year 7s and year 8s competing in basketball, table tennis and hockey. Well done on all who made teams and all who helped to score, umpire and support our teams!
In term 4, we have our intermediate boy's cricket and hockey teams both competing in eastern region competitions. Congratulations and best of luck to these teams!
Thank you to all teachers and students who have been involved in interschool and house sport competitions in 2025. We have had another incredibly successful year of results, as we look to an even better 2026!
