Our Prep to Grade 2 students have been having fun in music, learning a repertoire of songs, many from the Kodaly approach which emphasises the importance of singing as a foundation for musical learning. We use folk songs and games to engage the students in active music-making and learning about musical ideas including beat, rhythm and melody. Students have also used musical instrument to accompany their singing.
