Welcome & Important Dates

We would like to warmly welcome all the new families who have joined the GWPS community this year. It has been fantastic to see the Prep learners settling into their classrooms and building new friendships and connections throughout the day.

We hope you find the information in this termly newsletter helpful in getting to know what’s happening for the Prep learners, as well as in familiarising you with our expectations and learning goals for Term One. If you have any questions about the information provided, please feel free to reach out to your classroom teacher, who will be happy to assist you at a convenient time.

Get to Know your Teacher…

Prep A: Mrs Samantha Stefanidis

I enjoy singing, dancing and listening to music
I can speak two different languages being English and Greek
I love baking lots of yummy treats
I love going to the beach and warm weather
My favourite thing is watching people learn, grow and achieve!

Prep B: Mrs La Ree Byrne

I enjoy being outdoors and spending time at the beach
I like both Italian and Indian cuisine
I love reading novels and listening to podcasts when I have time
I adore travelling with my family and my favourite city to visit is Dubai
One of my favourite things is coming to school to work with wonderful learners in Prep.

Prep C: Miss Kat Pei

I love travelling
I like eating sour candies
I enjoy traveling to different places to try various foods
I love trying new things, and recently I've started learning badminton
Vietnamese Bah mi is my favorite food
My favourite thing to do is go for walks and connect with nature.

Prep D: Miss Cassandra Cheng

I love all kinds of water sports.
I love spending time on the beach.
I can speak three different languages being English, Cantonese and Mandarin
I love drinking hoijicha latte
I relax by cooking
I love taking naps during the holidays.

Swimming Program Prep Year Commences Monday 2nd March – Wednesday 4th March AND Monday 16th March – Wednesday 18th March
No School Public Holiday – Monday 9th March
Cultural Diversity Special Assembly – Monday 30th March
Cyber Safety Project Incursion - Tuesday 31st of February and Wednesday 1st of March
Last day of Term One – 2:30pm finish Thursday 2nd April
First Day of Term 2 - Monday 20th April
