On Wednesday the Grade 5/6 class had a cooking day. It was great to witness the atmosphere. Both student agency and voice were inccorporated into the lessons right from the beginning. A lot of conversations, planning and preparation went into setting the students up for success. This showed throughout the day as students flourished in what could have been a highly stressful day and turned it into one of connection, respect, support, sharing, gratitude and thoughtfulness.

As the end of the year is rushing towards us it was a special day to be able to give the students time and space to show what they can achieve. We have worked hard as a group to improve our communication, teamwork, tolerance and understanding of our peers and today the proof was in the pudding.

St Mary's has some great resources to support Wellbeing in action. Lessons and experiences such as these are hopefully something our students will remember forever.
