Message from the Principal

Anushka Vaz

Term 4 is always one of the busiest periods of the school year, and it’s hard to believe we are already well past the halfway point. The term begun with wonderful energy, marked by many celebrations and achievements and there is still more to come.

School Improvement Plan

Following our recently conducted School Review, St Mary’s has developed a clear set of priorities to guide our growth over the next four years.

Our key areas of focus include:

  • Improving student learning in Mathematics through explicit, evidence-based teaching.
  • Strengthening Literacy with a structured phonics approach to build strong reading foundations.
  • Deepening our Catholic identity, with a renewed focus on faith formation and linking learning to Catholic Social Teaching.
  • Enhancing student engagement by implementing the Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) framework.

These priorities will support us in continuing to build a thriving, faith-filled and high-quality learning environment for all students.
