Pathways Food Technology Students complete food orders this week to raise money for the Cancer Council.

Last term our students trialled three recipes for the pop-up snack station. They developed familiarity with the recipe ingredients and how to prepare the food to make spinach and cheese gozlemes, Apple Danish and Chocolate Beetroot cupcakes. Sustainability students helped to pick Granny Smith apples from our apple tree in our garden. We stewed the fruit ahead of time for the fruit filling of the apple Danish. 

This Wednesday our students did a marvellous job to prepare thirty food orders. They decided as a group on roles they would be responsible for and food jobs they would complete. Students worked enthusiastically for the two sessions in the Trade kitchen to prepare and cook sixty food items to have the food orders ready by recess for students and staff. So far, we calculated raising $120 for the Cancer Council.
