TheirCare News

Hi parents, guardians, staff, and friends! Welcome to Week 7 of Term 1!

We’re nearly at the end of Term 1! This week’s theme is “Season”. Having Monday as a public holiday gave all students and staff a little break and refresh before finishing the last 3 weeks of the term. This week we have been very busy, with a massive number of children in attendance with three of our afternoons reaching over 68.

During this week the children loved us getting the chalk out and so many of the children have shown just how creative they are and how much they love showing their creations. Like every week, sport is always a favourite with soccer and gaga ball being the key group games. On Wednesday some of the students created a tree craft that showed all four of the seasons when you turned it. The children have been loving the option to make crafts as well as doing their own thing with their friends. Prep numbers this week have been massive with Tuesday and Thursday having over 20 prep students attend. The preps are doing very well in walking over to the gym and knowing the routine.

Unfortunately, it is with the sad news that we inform all TheirCare families that Ashleigh will be stepping down from the role of Co-ordinator. With Ashleigh in her final year of her Masters of Teaching, she will continue at FWPS as a part-time educator and will continue to support the new co-ordinator and the kids and families as always.

This week’s Pupil of the Week is Wesley Hann (PAK) for always being brave and confident when attending TheirCare and for always putting a big smile on his face. Well done, Wesley! You should be very proud!! 😊😊

In exciting news on Friday, the 22nd of March, the children who attend TheirCare will be partaking in a picnic party for the Planet in co-operation with Earth Hour. In the afternoon there will be craft activities like making your own lanterns and much more and plenty of yummy food.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

With the holiday program coming up, we would like to urge all families to book sooner rather than later as head office has capped the numbers for each day including excursions to ensure the staffing ratio. We are unable to accept walk-ins and unfortunately it is out of our control on the caps that has been put in place. As previously mentioned, the program for holidays is available in the TheirCare room and online.
