SchoolTV Launched!

We’re pleased to offer our school community access to SchoolTV, a comprehensive, evidence-based digital wellbeing platform designed to support parents, carers, and educators.

SchoolTV provides a wide range of trusted resources—including videos, articles, fact sheets, podcasts, apps, books, and practical strategies—focused on addressing modern parenting challenges and supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

This valuable resource has been made possible thanks to the generous support of our Parents and Friends Association, who have funded the subscription on behalf of the school. We sincerely thank them for their ongoing commitment to enhancing the wellbeing of our students and families.

Principal Leave

I will be on Principal Enrichment Leave from 9th June - 27 July. During this time, I will be overseas undertaking a series of short courses aimed at further developing my leadership knowledge and practice.

In my absence, Anthony Chalkley will assume the role of Acting Principal, and Daniel Boulton will serve as Acting Deputy Principal. I thank them both for their leadership and support during this period.

Trivia Night

It was wonderful to see so many families and community members come together for our Trivia Night on Friday evening. The night was filled with fun, laughter, friendly competition and plenty of great teamwork, creating a fantastic atmosphere for everyone involved. Events like these are a wonderful way to strengthen the connections within our school community and provide opportunities for families to enjoy time together outside the classroom.

A sincere thank you to our P&F and everyone who attended, donated prizes, helped with organisation and supported the evening in any way. Your involvement and enthusiasm helped make the event such a success.

Congratulations to our winning team on claiming the Trivia Night title, and well done to all teams for bringing such great energy and spirit to the night!

2027 Enrolment Information 

We have greatly enjoyed welcoming prospective families to our recent school tours and enrolment information opportunities as part of the 2027 enrolment process. It has been wonderful to share all that makes St Monica's Primary School such a vibrant, welcoming and supportive learning community.

We look forward to welcoming many new students and families to our school community in 2027 and thank all families who have taken the time to visit, ask questions and explore what our school has to offer. Enrolment applications are currently being finalised, with enrolment offers and acceptances to be sent out from 6 June.

St Monica's Church - 100 year celebration

This weekend marks a very special milestone as St Monica's Church celebrates 100 years of faith, community and history. For a century, the church has played an important role in the lives of generations of families, providing a place of worship, connection, celebration and support within our parish community.

As a school community, we are proud to be part of this rich history and to continue the strong partnership between parish and school that has supported Catholic education in Kangaroo Flat for so many years. The centenary is an opportunity to reflect on the dedication, service and vision of those who came before us, while also celebrating the vibrant and welcoming community that continues today.

We congratulate everyone involved in organising the 100-year celebrations and thank all those who have contributed to the life of the parish across the past century. We look forward to sharing in this significant occasion and celebrating this wonderful milestone together as a community.

School Bus Information 

• Application processing for Term 3, 2026 will commence in week of 26/05/2026. Once applications are processed, travel offers will be emailed to families by 02/06/2026, where seats are available.  
• The system will not be available for families, bus operators and schools between 26/05/2026 and 02/06/2026. 
• STAP will auto renew all active applications from Term 2 (except traveller applications that have a status of lapsed/cancelled/removed).
  • submit a new application only if there is a change (new school, new address or new traveller)  
  • to check that their details in the portal are up to date before 26/05/2026. 
  • once the churn has been processed and families have received a travel offer, families should accept their travel offer prior to its expiry date specified on their offer. If the offers lapse, STAP will allocate the seat to the next traveller on the waitlist.
