Leadership Update

Term 2 is well underway, with plenty of learning, excursions, sporting events, and activities already taking place.

Mother's Day Morning

It was great to see so many people attend our Mother’s Day morning today. Thank you for coming along and we trust you enjoyed your time. A big thank you to the staff members who were at school early cooking pancakes and helping to organise the morning.

3-6 Athletics

On Thursday 7th May, our Grades 3–6 students enjoyed a fantastic Athletics Day. Despite a few passing showers, we were fortunate to have a few gaps in the weather as students showed great enthusiasm, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day.

A huge thank you to Ms Jo for her organisation of the event, as well as to our parent helpers who braved the elements to support our students. It was a wonderful day of participation and school spirit!

Staffing Update

As you will be aware, Chloe finished her time with us at the end of Term 1. A big thank you to Leonie, who has been working tirelessly in the office over the past couple of weeks, often doing the work of multiple people. Thank you also to other staff who have stepped in to lend a hand while we complete the recruitment process.

We are pleased to announce that Katherine Traficante was the successful applicant for the Admin Support role at South Geelong Primary School. We look forward to welcoming Katherine, who will be starting on Monday 11th May. Please make Katherine feel welcome when you are next visiting the front office.

Hi everyone! I'm Katherine, and I am very excited to join the team at South Geelong Primary as Administration Support. I’ve recently spent two years in admin at Barwon Heads Primary School and am looking forward to supporting the staff, students, and families here. Outside of school, I’m a busy mum of two boys and a keen Cats supporter. I can't wait to get to know you all!

ANZAC Day Commemoration

We are proud to acknowledge Billie and Jack, who represented South Geelong Primary School at the Belmont RSL ANZAC Day service. They respectfully laid a wreath on behalf of our school community, demonstrating great pride and maturity on this important occasion.

We thank them for representing our school so thoughtfully as we honoured and remembered those who have served.
