If anyone walked past the MGC Gym recently, there is no doubt you would have seen an engaging, vibrant, and all inclusive learning environment during Term 3. As the image shows, these values are not only evident in each class, but form an integral underpinning ethos of the entire Gymnastics Unit.
It has been a pleasure watching the various classes work through their Floor, Beam, and Mini-trampoline skills amidst the hustle and bustle of collaboration, concentration, and the latest hits filling the air.
While the final assessment task, a group performance of a choregraphed routine, might raise the nerves slightly, students very regularly self reflect on their performance during the unit with positivity and a real sense of accomplishment.
Another highlight of the term was receiving MGC Parents Association Grant for the purchase of a class set of Polar Fitness Trackers. Our Year 10 and Senior PE classes, and their teachers, are looking forward to using them in their practical classes.
I would like to wish all the Year 12 students a memorable final two weeks as MGC students, and wish them all the best for their Health, PE and Outdoor Education exams.
And finally, a reminder to all students and parents that the MGC Baseball cap is a compulsory part of the PE school uniform and should be brought to all PE classes in Term 4.

Huge congratulations to Amelia Butson, Indy Bomar and Ivy Merritt who competed for Victoria at the U15 Nationals in Perth over the holidays - the two Victorian teams Ice and Fire (captained by Amelia) came away with silver and bronze medals - a fantastic achievement!
These three were also instrumental in MGC's excellent performance at the recent interschool state finals - congratulations!
