Today our Stage 3 class spent their Religion Lesson visiting the Church to learn from Father Max and Miss Bernie. Once a term, each classroom is given the opportunity to have a lesson with Father Kingsley or Miss Bernie, focusing on parts of the Mass, symbols and areas of the Church or the learning they are doing in class. I always hear such great things about these lessons from the students! Thank you to Father Kingsley, Father Max and Miss Bernie for facilitating these sessions.
Kindergarten students have been learning about Creation—exploring the amazing world around us and how we can care for it. Last week, the children spent time outdoors enjoying the vast sky above and discovering the wonderful shapes created by the clouds.

Year 1/2 have been focusing on the parable of the Good Samaritan. Parables were stories Jesus used to teach important lessons and morals, with over 35 parables recorded in the Bible. Our students have read the story, retold it in creative ways, and produced beautiful artwork illustrating its key themes.

Year 3/4 kicked off the term by learning about rituals and celebrations, comparing traditions in their own homes with those in our Church. Over the coming weeks, students will dive deeper into the celebration of the Eucharist and explore the different parts of the Mass.

Year 5/6 spent last week researching significant events in the life of Mary. Students enjoyed having the choice to focus on the moments that resonated with them most. To conclude their learning, they participated in a meaningful liturgical celebration honoring our Marian traditions.

This term, our school is excited to be participating in Socktober, an initiative supporting Catholic Mission. Please note, due to other events, the date of this fundraiser has changed.
This year, Socktober is raising funds to support vulnerable families in Malawi, where devastating floods destroyed homes, farmlands, and vital infrastructure. The nationwide goal is to raise enough funds to build a local school that will provide displaced children with consistent access to education and nutritious meals each day.
To show our support and raise vital funds, our school will be participating in a fun-filled day:

We ask for a small donation to go towards the important work that Catholic Mission supports. Donation can be via Compass or in cash on the day. Compass payment will go live this week.
Please note, cupcakes will be sold for a separate gold coin cost - cash only, on the day, for students wishing to participate.

Please email smeade@arm.catholic.edu.au to register interest, or if you have any questions.

Please see Compass for an "Insight" notification to register your availability.
