It's learning in action! Our Year 6 students have been exploring their unit of inquiry, How We Organise Ourselves, investigating how our needs and wants influence economic activities. Now, they're bringing their learning to life by organising, planning, and running their very own Mini MARKET!
This isn't just about making money, it's about developing real world skills, making economic decisions, and giving back to our community as responsible global citizens.

Through this hands-on inquiry, our Year 6s are developing essential life skills:
Economic thinking: Budgeting, pricing, profit, and managing resources
Teamwork and organisation: Collaborating in groups to plan and run a business
Problem solving: Making decisions about needs vs. wants for their stalls
Communication: Marketing their products and providing customer service
Global citizenship: Understanding the importance of giving back to those in need
Giving Back to Our Community
A percentage of all funds raised will be donated to a charity chosen by the Year 6 students. This is an important part of their learning, understanding that businesses have a responsibility to support their communities and make a positive impact in the world.
By participating in the Mini Market, you're not just supporting our students' learning, you're helping them become compassionate global citizens who understand the value of giving back.
The Year 6s have worked incredibly hard researching, planning, and preparing their stalls. This is authentic learning at its best, and we can't wait to see them put their knowledge into action!
