Showcase of Learning

Year 2 Green

Year 2 Green did a wonderful job presenting their chapel item on Friday, sharing their learning from PDH around getting along with others and what it means to live as part of God’s community.

Through their presentation, students reminded us of the importance of kindness, drawing on Bible teachings such as Ephesians 4:32, which they confidently shared through song. They spoke beautifully about how showing kindness is a way we reflect God’s love to those around us.

Students also shared personal reflections about their families and the special moments they enjoy together, as well as creative work where they identified people they love and the reasons why. It was so special to see the way they value and appreciate the important relationships in their lives.

Year 2 Green also explored the idea of belonging, sharing the many groups they are part of, including family, friends, church, and sporting teams, and how these groups help them feel safe, supported and loved.

The item concluded with a powerful and simple reminder for us all: to be kind to one another, because God calls us to do so.

We are so proud of Year 2 Green for the way they shared their learning with confidence, joy and heart.

Performing Arts Afternoon

In Week 10 on Monday 30 March at 2.30pm, parents are invited to watch students in Band and Dance to see what they have been working on this term.

Afternoon tea will be provided and we will finish at 3.00pm.

We hope you can join us!

Easter Chapel and Easter Hat Parade

Our Easter Chapel this year will be held on Thursday 2 April at 1.30pm. The Easter Hat Parade will follow directly after the Easter Chapel service in the school gym.

We will aim to be finished by 3pm. This will be a very special time for our school community and all families are invited to join us!

Kindly note, we've had to adjust the timing of our event this year, due to an event at Church so thank you in advance for your understanding.

As part of our Easter celebrations, students will be designing and constructing Easter hats to bring to school for a parade. We encourage all students to participate, designing hats that symbolise this time of the year.

There will be three categories for prizes that students in each class can win:

Most Robustly Constructed Easter Hat

Most Creatively Themed Easter Hat

Most Symbolic Easter Hat

An Easter bake sale will be operating with both cash and EFTPOS accepted.

Please note that there will be NO BUSES operating this afternoon.

Thank you for all your support and we hope this time is a blessing to you and your family.

During school today, each student received our 2026 Easter Colouring Competition sheet! We can’t wait to see the creativity and colour our students bring to their designs.

Entries will close on Monday 30 March. Two winners will be selected from each class.

We wish all students the very best of luck and we look forward to seeing your wonderful creations!

Uniform Shop open during School Holidays

We will be opening the uniform shop for two days Friday 10 April and Friday 17 April in the school holidays for anyone who would like to purchase any winter uniform.

Uniform fittings are strictly by appointment only. Families must have a confirmed booking to attend. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate walk-ins as it is difficult to manage fittings and serve families adequately without scheduled appointments.

Please use the following link to book an appointment: https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/cmfwc

Winter Uniform and Photo Day

Students are to be in full winter uniform from Week 3 in Term 2.

A kind reminder that all students need to wear full winter uniform for our Whole School Photo Day on Thursday 14 May.

Please send an email to uniforms@hpcs.nsw.edu.au if you have any other questions.

We are busy preparing for our upcoming school musical, with rehearsals and production plans well underway. Our students have been working hard to learn their lines, songs, and choreography, and it has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm and commitment. Behind the scenes, staff are also busy organising costumes, sets, and all the details that bring the performance together. Tickets will be going on sale soon.

We are looking forward to sharing this special event with our school community and celebrating the talents of our students.

Volunteer Opportunity - Food Stall at Musical

If any parents would like to volunteer to help at the food stall selling food and drinks before the musical, please be so kind as to send an email to Mrs Jordaan at enrolments@hpcs.nsw.edu.au.

We will have a different team for each night, therefore you only have to volunteer for one night. Each parent volunteer will also receive a free ticket to the musical.

Please be so kind as to sign up by Friday 27 March.

Thank you.

Parents Prayer Group

All parents are warmly invited to join our Parents Prayer Group.

Last year, this was a very encouraging time as we gathered together to pray for our children, families, and the school community. Whether you’ve joined us before or this would be your first time, everyone is welcome. There’s no pressure, just a simple and supportive space to spend time together in prayer.

Thanks so much,

Josh and Mel Fattal
