Growing Together in Faith and Community

Standing Together in Prayer As a community, we are thankful for the opportunity to come before God in prayer — giving thanks for His provision and asking for His continued guidance in the life of our school. Please join us in praying for the following areas this term.
ANZAC Day & Defence Families.
- Give thanks for the recent ANZAC Day services and the opportunity to reflect as a community.
- Praise God for the gospel-focused message shared by Navy Chaplain Todd Galvin.
- Give thanks for our Defence families and the way they serve our country.
Pray that:
Defence families, who often experience relocation, long absences and the pressures of service life, would find support, stability and genuine community at NCS
our school would be a place of welcome and care for these families
they would be pointed towards Jesus as the ultimate source of hope, comfort and fulfilment
Assistant Chaplain – Mr Curran
Give thanks for the opportunity Mr Curran has to meet one-on-one with male students who are interested in exploring Christianity.
Pray that:
- as he reads the Bible with them, they would clearly understand God’s grace to us in Jesus
- he would have wisdom and clarity as he answers their questions about faith
- these young men would come to know and follow Jesus
Assembly Talks
Pray for both our Primary & Secondary assemblies this term as students hear from God’s Word.
Pray that:
- our high school guest speaker in Week 3 would explain the gospel clearly and compellingly
- many students would thoughtfully respond to the invitation to follow Jesus
- all speakers throughout the term would communicate faithfully and clearly
- students would grow in understanding the importance of prayer, the value of kindness, and the transforming power of Jesus, particularly through the Gospel of Matthew
Students and School Life
Pray for key areas of student life this term.
Pray for:
- our Year 11 students as they prepare for their Yearly Exams

- FISH (Fellowship In School Hours) as it begins this term, that it would be a place of connection and spiritual growth
Mission and Service
Give thanks for opportunities for students to serve beyond the school.
Pray that:
- the six Year 10 students, Mrs Flippence and Mr Jolliffe and the team from Maitland travelling to the Solomon Islands this term would be well prepared
- their time would be impactful, both for those they serve and in their own faith
- God would use this experience to grow their hearts for mission and service
Staff
Pray for our staff as the term begins.
Pray that:
- staff would have good health following sickness last term
- they would be sustained and encouraged during a busy and demanding term
- they would continue to serve students with wisdom, patience and care
