STEM Program

Our New STEM Program is Underway at DPS!
Our new STEM Specialist Program has officially commenc at DPS, and what a fantastic start it has been! Students have enjoyed an exciting week filled with engaging, hands-on learning challenges that sparked curiosity, creativity and teamwork.
STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Rather than being taught in isolation, these subjects work together to help students investigate real-world problems, think critically, explore scientific concepts and develop innovative solutions.
Throughout the program, students explore concepts through the Engineering Design Process: Ask, Imagine, Plan, Create, Test and Improve. This approach encourages students to think like engineers by designing, building, testing and refining their ideas.
Technology plays a significant role in our STEM program.
Students will develop valuable digital skills by exploring coding, using a range of technologies and creating innovative solutions. These experiences help prepare our students with the knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills needed for the careers of the future.
It has been a wonderful start to our new STEM program, and we look forward to seeing our students continue to innovate, collaborate and grow throughout the year.
